Discover how you learn

Everyone has a learning style. Each of us learns differently because our experiences and backgrounds are not the same. These differences are called learning styles.

The term 'learning style' is used to describe the way you prefer to take-in new information. Your preferred style predicts the kind of learning experience you find effective and comfortable. Your preferred way of learning affects the way you think, remember, solve problems and make decisions.

Your learning style is not a label and does not limit your capacity to learn in other ways. You can identify your learning style anytime, before and during enrolment in TAFE. In fact, learning about your personal learning style can increase your chance of succeeding in TAFE courses.

There are three windows to help you discover how you learn. Just like the ABCs of the alphabet, begin your discovery by clicking on Window A. When you answer all the questions, you will receive immediate feedback. Be honest and don’t worry about right or wrong answers – there are none.

Enjoy your discovery!
